About

This is the blog of a desperate Ulsterman trying to improve his proficiency in Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig). As a learner with little opportunity to practice the language, it will force me to apply myself - but in return, I hope I can also share a little about something I know about, which is genealogy, something I have worked as a full time researcher within since 2006 (see www.ScotlandsGreatestStory.co.uk).

My posts will not be written in perfect Gaelic (whatever that is!), because I am not completely fluent - and that's the point. I hope anyone reading it who sees something resembling a dog's dinner will be happy to offer constructive criticism! At the same time, I am happy to offer advice in return on what I do know about with regards to genealogical research. To contact me please email chrismpaton @ outlook.com.

Suas leis a Ghàidhlig! 😀

Chris
